Book Review: Great information on the Alpha 100 and photography in general

This book was all that I expected and then some. The structure of the book is very helpful. There is a Quick Tour of using the camera, then detailed discussion of the camera features and how they are used. This section seems to cover in an easy to read format every feature and control of the camera. The bonus was Part II of the book, which includes information on many areas of photography such as composition, animal, architectural, abstract, flower and many other areas of photography. Even how to use the camera for infrared photography is covered. These sections all related to the specific topic and how the Alpha 100 can be used to accomplish the specific type of photography. A very useful book to learn about this specific camera plus a great deal on photography in general all in a easy to read book.Book Review: Far more useful than the Alpha manual!

This book is the ideal ready-reference for any Alpha owner who finds the Alpha manual less than helpful. Both better organized and more clearly-written than the manual, it also goes well beyond the manual in terms of what it covers: not only does it give a rundown of the camera's many features and directions for accessing them, it explains in an easy-to-understand way when and how to make use of each. This is the book that sould have come with the camera. It is clear, easy to use and even a bit fun. The information is very specific but also would help you if you had other cameras. I started with a DVD guide for the A100 and ended up buying this from Amazon. Glad I did, now I have some shots to show people and not feel like I waisted my money on this great DSLR. I purchased this guide several months after I began using my new Sony A-100 DSLR. I am sorry I waited. The manual packed with the camera is complete and accurate. It covers the technical aspects of the camera, whereas this guide covers both the technical and the techniques in getting the best results with unique features of the Sony A-100. Thank you Mr Busch for the very easy to understand and clearly thought out guide to a very complex camera.
Also you make using any camera more understandable. Understanding the basics gives me a more common sense approach to all shooting situations.
To any one wanting to take better pictures I recomend Mr Busch's books.
