Book Review: So You Want to be a Teenager
Summary: 5 Stars
It's pretty funny how the editorial on Amazon restates what is taught in this book and tries to make it sound negative. If you look at the list of items given, most parent's I know would want their children to have these values whether they are Christians or not. I have a beautiful High School Senior that read this book along with a number of other's by the Rainy's when she was in 6th and [..] and she has made amazingly mature decisions in her relationships. The editorial also states "Limited Audience". Considering I don't live in a Christian bubble as the editorial author may think and as a business executive, community leader and volunteer, I have many colleagues and friends who ask me how I raised my girls to have such strength under 'peer' pressure. Presenting and discussing this material at the young age of 11 and 12 sets our children up for success before they are presented with situations. If a child determines what they will and will not do in a relationship before marriage, their success rate is over 80%. If they wait until they are in the middle of the situation, their success rate of sticking to what they believe is UNDER 30%. Looks like to me it's a no-brainer... These author's offer so much to our children to help them be successful teens and utilizing many of their materials together with a parent is worth your child's future. I have a small group of [..] girls who I mentor on a weekly basis and we will again be utilizing this material.

As parents, Dennis and Barbara Rainey have lived and relived those challenging years.
