We are Americans that just moved to Paris, and SmartFrench was critical in us quickly learning French to be prepared to live here. The emphasis on real world communication was so valuable. "Street" pronunciations not "formal", immediate conversational learning, the emphasis on immediate usability, all these elements accelerated our learning curve. We find ourselves more functional in Paris than we would have with other learning systems. Thank you SmartFrench!!!! :)Book Review: Learn French like a native!

I learned of SmartFrench on some online discussion about French learning
tools. I actually just decided to learn French since it is a really useful
language recognized by UN. I saw online that many native French teachers
recommend this product. I tried the demo on the website, I think it will
work, since it makes me get familiar with the French language. I like the
method. I think it's a good way to learn French.

This is a unique and innovative way to learn how to listen to the spoken French just as it is used in real conversations. Most audio programs, you have someone reading a script in French. The sounds are quite different when someone is talking French compared to someone who is reading French. That is why Smart French is better than anything else I have tried so far. ...and at a price I can afford. The intuitive structure and the authenticity of the interviews make me feel like I am with friends I just met traveling. It moves at the right pace -- from beginner to more advanced levels so that the confidence builds quickly and before you know it, you're speaking French with confidence. I enjoy this program very much. It's interesting and fun to listen to, and effective in getting you to understand actual spoken French. I bought this because of all the positive reviews, and they were right. This is a wonderful product. I find that I really like using it, and it's very effective in getting me to learn French when I do. To me, that means it's a good teaching method. I highly recommend it.
