Harry Dresden Rocks! Jim Butcher's books have all the action, adventure and imagination one could hope for in a book. His story lines are creative and his dialog hilarious! We have read every book in the series and have enjoyed them all. That being said, these books are not for younger readers, such as the Harry Potter series. This is a Harry for the mature reader! We keep all of his books in our permanent library. You absolutely MUST read this magical series.Book Review: Great book - Horrible Format

The book itself is very good but What The Heck Did They Do To The Format? It is too tall to fit on the shelf with the other paperbacks and is very uncomfortable to hold. I feel vaguely squished, and too much of the text vanishes into the gutter between the pages.
I recommend you either buy the hardcover or wait for a standard format paperback release. Until you buy it, read the story in the library book.

After reading all the other Dresdin books quite a while ago I wasn't sure if I'd be pulled back into the story, but I was. everything was recapped enough to jog my memory but not to bog the current plot down with back story. just like the other books in the series I was pulled in. I would intend to read a chapter before bed and find the clock reading 3am before I put the book down. good read.Book Review: One of My Favorite Dresden Stories

I love the whole Dresden series, but I like some stories better than others. Small Favor is one of my favorites. The humor brought in by the Billy Goats Gruff (and how often are the bad guys funny?) is great. Gentleman Johnny Marcone is always an interesting character, and it was good to hear some more about the Fae Queens. All-in-all, a fun story that is very hard to put down.
