Book Reviews of SlashBook Review: I Just Never Knew! Summary: 5 Stars
I think this is the first biography (auto, bio, ghost, or otherwise) that I have ever read, AND ENJOYED. This is an interesting story of Slash's life- and I believe that it was written from the heart. Don't expect it to be dry, humorless, and technical; because it isn't. It is funny, unbelievable, and outrageous! But this book gave me a whole new perspective on Slash as a person; it made him feel more human to me and less "untouchable rock star". It sounds as if this book was something that Slash needed to do, and that he feels better for doing it. I know I feel better for reading it! My overall feeling after reading this book was, "it's good to know that Slash has finally made it home."

Book Review: Amazing Summary: 5 Stars
The book was great. Slash was brutally honest with everything and because he kept a journal to write the book, it really flows well. I was intimidated by the size at first thinking that there really could not be that much to tell, but after finishing it, I wanted more.
Slash discusses Axl, Izzy, Steven, and Duff so you feel like you know them by the end of the book. Especially Axl - now you can see why the latest Guns record took decades to produce. He also talks about other metal bands from the 80's and his interaction with them, most of which was not real good, but entertaining none-the-less.
The addiction stories are amazing. Overall, it was really great and if you are into good metal books from the hair-metal days, Slash really captures it here. One of the best.
Book Review: highly recommended Summary: 5 Stars
I really enjoyed this book. I was around the SF music scene in the 80's so there was some really interesting stuff in this book. He spends a chapter talking about Todd Crew who was the bassist for a band called Jetboy, that I remember seeing them open for at the Stone back in the day. Some really fascinating and insightful stuff about G n R and Slash that was entertaining to read...although I never really got a grasp of what Axl was really all about and at times Slash seemed a like a bit of a self-centered jerk...but his willingness to show that made me want to read it more. Also, felt like a lot of stuff was washed over a bit, but that could just be my general distrust of the music scene altogether.
Book Review: Slash by Slash Summary: 5 Stars
This book is exactly what true Slash fans should expect. Simply a story of Slash's life, beginning around age 10, "Slash" by Slash gives details that not even all of his closest friends could have known, ranging from his mischievous youth to his teenage debauchery. Any rumors about Slash or Guns 'n Roses should finally be put to rest with this personal account of everything that took place in the rock and roll juggernaut. Anthony Bozza (co-author) turns these epic personal accounts into true biography form with smooth and professional diction. Overall, this book is a MUST-HAVE for any true fan of Slash, Guns 'n Roses, or just rock and roll music in general (or at the very least, a must-read).
Book Review: my $.02 review Summary: 5 Stars
Wow. I've listened to Slash(with GN'R) since I was in sixth grade circa 86. Paradise City has always been #1 in my book and many many good times have been had to that song. The video to Paradise City at the outdoor concert with Axl in his white leather getup really showed the power and stimulation that song had on many people. I've always looked up to and admired his guitar playing. I've always told myself if I were to be a guitar player I'd like to play as skillful style as he does and of course with a Les Paul. I like the style, I like the sound. So far it has been very hard to put this book down. Thank you and to many more years of your art form.
