Skippyjon Jones is caught reading a National Leographic magazine about Cat Mummies. His mother quickly puts the scare into him by telling him his tail will get puffy, he will get an upset tummy and nightmares on top of that. Skippyjon is not afraid, until he goes deep inside his closet on his way to anchient Egypt. The little kitten joins his friends, the chihuahuas, on a mission to find rest in Peas. Believing that Skippyjon was the bravest of them all, he was the one to go into the under world to bring back the peas. Will he find the peas he is looking for or his his mummy er mommy correct, will he become frightened and scared? Share the story with your little one to find out.
I love the Skippyjon Jones books and cannot imagine your children not giggling their way through the story as well. It adds fun, imagination and a bit of spanish into the text for some international education.

Book Review: Read it again Mom!!!

I have a 4 year old who thinks the book is awesome! He walks around the house saying "Skippyjon Jones" over and over again! I recommed the book to anyone who has a child with a great imagination!! They can get very involved in the book and the little rhymes are very fun to say! As an adult I think the book is very easy to read and not too long so as to lose the child's attention.

This is such a great story! This time El Skippito travels to the Egyptian underworld to retrieve peas (instead of beans) for his amigos. The copy that we own also came with a CD of Ms. Schachner reading the story which makes for fun in the car, too. I absolutely love the Skippyjon Jones series. It is my all time favorite book to read aloud. I have even read it aloud to other adults. The flow of words and the story line are so fluid.
Best children's book series out there. For any age. Any gender.
Book Review: Skippyjon Jones Has Mummy Trouble!
Summary: 5 Stars
This is a cute story about a Siamese cat who has mummy trouble while thinking he is a chihuahua! It is very sweet and funny. I liked the mummy, Egyptian motif for my 6th graders. I teach ESOL so I get to use picture books for kids of all ages. I love it!
