Book Review: Only 5 stars? ONLY 5 stars?? I GIVE IT TEN!

I picked up this book for my stepdaughter who just recently turned four years old, and last night we read it for the first time, as our little angel was ready for bed. My wife, stepdaughter, and I laughed so hard I could hardly keep reading. This is absolutely the cutest, most hysterically funny story book I've ever read (and believe you me, I've read TONS of story books). As a former cat owner, and one who can appreciate the amazingly complex personalities of our feline friends, I can absolutely imagine this sort of mischief portrayed in this book. I do not feel this book was intended to be a glossy multiculturally Politically Correct book designed to bring every individual from every corner of the globe, uniting every race, sex, religion, (and yes, even politicians) into one huge love-fest bear hug, promoting free love and acceptance of all in the world that is good (insert angels singing here). Heck no, this book is a fanciful rendition of a boy kitten's imagination, and his adventures (and even potential repercussions of said imagination). The book is fun to read, the rhymes are hysterical, and the artistry is engaging and nothing short of wonderful. The author's pen and ink has definitely struck a chord in our household, and the sounds of laughter mixed with the tongue-twisting rhymes is music to my ears. I would absolutely give this book a solid TEN stars! Now I must leave, so that I can don my own mask, pick up my sword, and join Skippyjon in my own fanciful adventure....
