I loved the book. The game is alright (The Beast Within is much better) but the book is really great. The characters have much more depth, and much of the missing plot elements in the game (such as the diary) were added. This is a must even for people who didn't play the game! I read the book before playing the game and even then it left me impressed. Ms. Jensen has excellent style and actually took the time to flesh out characters, atmosphere, everything! The only bad thing: that page in the back that said The Beast Within novel isn't out yet...Book Review: It was GREAT!

WOW! Can't say nothin' else. This book is amazing. I love the personalities, the temptation, the ACTION! It was a thrill ride from the 1st chapter. I'm reading the second book, The Beast Within, now. I really liked the book. I thought the game was good, but the book is even better. I am a Gabriel Knight fan from the get-go. I can't wait until Ms. Jensen's book "The Beast Within" becomes available. Great reading as well as playing.
