Book Reviews of Sins of the Fathers: A Gabriel Knight Novel

Book Review: If you liked the game, you will LOVE the novel
Summary: 5 Stars

I played both of the Gabriel Knight games and they were totally outstanding!I had never played such cool games, and the storylines were awesome! Then when I heard about the GK1 novel, it was an obsession; I HAD TO GET IT! Then when I read it I was impressed by all the detail that the game didn't show. It was indeed more addictive than the game. When I read a book I imagine my own world, but after playing the game, as I read the book I imagine the game's world, but much more expanded. Jane Jensen is a genious. I can't wait for the sequel: The Beast Within!!

Book Review: The voodoo murders...a tale to come true
Summary: 5 Stars

Perhaps the story of Gabriel Knight is well known to all pc gamers. But the book?
It's a whole different experience. You won't only read the amazing story of Gabriel Knight, the young writer who gets involved in a voodoo murders case in New Orleans, where he will also meet evil powers and, of course, love, but you will also see what each character thinks. Handsome and cynical Gabriel, brilliant Grace, mysterious Malia, dangerous dr. John, careless detective Mosely...
A book all science fiction fans will enjoy,
Highly recommended!!!

Book Review: Really hard to put down
Summary: 5 Stars

Like many others, I player the game Gabriel Knight a few years ago, and loved it. It's not usual for a computer game to have such a powerful, mature story, such great characters and such atmosphere. When a few months ago I found out that the game's author, Jane Jensen, had written a novel of that game, I *HAD* to buy it... and I wasn't disappointed. Well, just a little... it's so good that I wish that it was longer... but it's still excellent. Trust me - this book will be very hard to put down, the story really grabs you.

Book Review: A fantastic novelization of the captivating CD-ROM game!
Summary: 5 Stars

Absolutely fantastic! The book is a must read for those interested in the lore of voodoo. Though playing the CD-ROM game takes away from the plot twists and surprises, readers who have played the game will gain much more insight to the characters in the book. For one, Gabriel's character was developed in much greater detail in the book. In addition, much of the grey areas of the CD-ROM game are fully explained in colorful, vivid language. Can't wait for The Beast Within, Jane!

Book Review: Gabriel Knight Sins of the Fathers Novel
Summary: 5 Stars

This book was an absolute best-seller. I had played and beaten the game before I read the book, so I knew what was going on, but the way it was written still kept me in suspense and on the edge of my seat. One part, near the end, is about 6 or so pages of a journal entry. This part is not in the game, so it allowed pretty much a full movie sequence in my head. This was one of the best parts of the book. This is an excellently written book, and I highly reccomend it.
