Book Review: Best book I purchased for Ethiopian adoption

I purchased this book at the recommendation of several adoptive parents who had adopted older children from Ethiopia, and I am SOOOOOO thankful I did. The book is extremely user-friendly. I love that it is divided into helpful chapters like "At the Table," "Boundaries and Directions," "Feelings," etc. I purchased this book about a month before traveling (I wish I had purchased it sooner!) and had no problem beginning to learn simple Amharic phrases. The CD is very helpful as it provides clear pronunciation for me to copy rather than having to guess pronunciation simply by looking at text or phonetic symbols. The book is compact and easy to slip into a small purse or even a back pocket, yet it has pretty much every phrase I have needed to communicate with my new 5 year old son. :)
The author/seller was incredibly wonderful to work with. When I initially purchased the item, I entered the wrong address, which obviously delayed my shipment. Even though this error was my fault and not hers, she bent over backwards to get me another copy of the book and CD before mine was even returned to her.
I highly recommend this book for anyone planning to adopt a child from Ethiopia -- especially a toddler or older child. A have now been home with our son for almost four weeks and still keep this book with me at all times and refer to it often throughout the day. Thank you, Amy Kendall, for this valuable resource!
