The book is more like a collection of short stories with characters who aren't really connected with each other. It's just a daily and nightly observation of NY and the people who live there. A lot of them are shallow, some funny, others miserable, but all seem to be survivors and relentless pursuers of their dream. Candace Bushnell has a great eye for details and is very funny. However, I don't see myself rereading this book. It's just so all over the place and none of the characters is developed well enough for you too care about their life. A solid "C"!
