Book Reviews of Sesame Beginnings: Potty Time! (Sesame Street)

Book Review: the best of the lot for potty-training books
Summary: 5 Stars

This book is an excellent potty-training book for little ones to read. It is a board book, which helps, but it also presents a variety of characters who are all at different stages of being ready to use the potty on their own. This gives your child the opportunity to decide how do they feel about their own situation -- are they ready to try or not? The one who isn't ready in the book is also "OK" -- there is no judgement against not being ready. But it is a big celebration for the one who just did it for the first time. Very positive and not pushing.

I found this book to be more appealing to my child than either "Too Big for Diapers" or "The Potty Book for Boys", which we also have for him to read while trying... Both those books are a little more instructive or pushy than this book is.

Book Review: Non-judgemental
Summary: 5 Stars

I don't like the toilet training books that try to make the toddlers feel bad about themselves in order to encourage them to go. This book is great! Very non-jugemental! Yes, it's short, but it's to the point. Talks about going to the bathroom and how different people are in different stages, that you're still a good person even if you accidnetally go in your pants, and at the end Grover goes in the potty for the first time and he's excited and you get to help flush the toilet (a paper tab like in tabbed interactive books). A fun positive book introducing toddlers to potty training.

Book Review: Very helpful!
Summary: 5 Stars

My 2 year old daughter loved this book. We used it on her Potty Party day, and she still loves to read it. It has been really helpful in getting her to try to go to the bathroom before we leave to go somewhere. In the book Zoe always goes before she leaves! I would recommend this book to others!

Book Review: My Grandson Loved It
Summary: 5 Stars

Very cute straightforward little book introducing potty training at the very beginning level. It uses baby sesame street characters and has a "flushable" toilet with a moveable handle near the end. My two year old grandson loves it.

Book Review: Grover teaches potty lessons
Summary: 5 Stars

Our son loves this book and requests it when he's sitting on the potty. It gives step-by-step directions for little ones curious as to what it's all about.
