Book Reviews of Servant of the EmpireBook Review: This series was so good I'm on my second reading . Summary: 5 Stars
This whole three book series just blew me away. The way a young women brings here almost destroyed family out of ruins and turns into the most powerful family in the kingdom just took my breath. The author shows how important family and tradtion is, but also displays the need for change.
Book Review: Amazing Riftwar Series Summary: 5 Stars
If you are a fan of the Riftwar saga by Feist, you must check out this series. Its written not on Midkemia, but of a story on Kelwan. See it all from a totally different viewpoint. You will not be able to put this book, or the series, until its all read.
Book Review: At her best! Summary: 5 Stars
That arguably the two best fantasy/SF writers work on this Saga, makes it little wonder that this is truly an exceptionally well written saga.
It truly becomes an honour and privilidge to be able to read their works! A must for the collection!
Book Review: Superb Summary: 5 Stars
This entire series is truly a 'ripping yarn', written in the style that Feist has mastered.
Book Review: An excellent saga continues Summary: 4 Stars
I didn't enjoy this book as much as I did the first in the series, but I think it may have just been because Daughter of the Empire raised my expectations to a very high level.I thought this book went a little overboard with Mara of the Acoma breaking traditions as she falls in love with Kevin, the slave from across the rift in Midkemia. Nevertheless, this is still a very good book and I see it as sort of a bridge between the other two fantastic volumes of this series. If you liked the first book in the series, I'm sure you will enjoy this one as well, but if you don't like this as much, don't worry because the conclusion, Mistress of the Empire lives up to the standard set by Daughter of the Empire.
