Book Reviews of Servant of the EmpireBook Review: Best book in Empire trilogy Summary: 5 Stars
I found this book to be highly entertaining. I would definitely recommend this series to anyone who read the Riftwar series by Feist. However, this book, and the rest of the series, may bore readers who are not interested in the political and logistical side of warfare. If you like pure action, then this book is not for you. If you like political intrigue, as well as interesting descriptions of places, events, and people, then you will love this book. Wurts is one of the best fantasy authors around today.
Book Review: Shogun II. This is an incredible series Summary: 5 Stars
In his Rift Wars novels, Feist included a world based on medival Japan, right out of Shogun.
In this series, we have a marvellous Shogun-like story of adventure and political intrigue, that's absolutely breath-taking.
If you liked the Original Shogun, then you'll find this series to be just as fascinating a read. That it's placed in a science-fantasy setting is but an insignificant detail. The authors could just as well have set this very same story in 17th century historical Japan!
Book Review: excellent Summary: 5 Stars
I recently fell in love with Feist's books and was somewhat skeptical of what this collaboration with Janny Wurts would bring. It is excellent. A totally different feel from the books on the other side of the riftwar, but filled with all of the details and intrigue that I've come to appreciate from Feist. I've already started reading the sequel Mistress of the Empire (Empire Trilogy, Bk. 3).
Book Review: Great series Summary: 5 Stars
This us my third set of the SERVANT series - I love it and have given two sets over the years to my sister and another great fantasy/sci-fi friend. The characters, plot development, writing style, and word pictures are all wonderful and absorbing - I reread the entire series every other year at least for the past 15 years and will continue to do so. Along with the Belgarion and Mallorian of Eddings, this is a top favorite series.
Book Review: THIS IS A FANTASTIC BOOK ! Summary: 5 Stars
Servant Of The Empire is truly an inspirational book without a doubt. The characters especially Lady Mara Of The Acoma , never have I met a very strong character before , for her dedication to the Empire.Even through all the pain she had suffered , losing Nacoya for she was above all a mother to Mara and Kevin , the love of her life. However I am very eager to read the continuation of this FANTASTIC book very very much.
