Book Reviews of Scorpia (Alex Rider Adventure)Book Review: Scorpia Summary: 4 Stars
Alex Rider is a 15-year-old boy who always seems to run into trouble. A worldwide terrorist agency, Scorpia, has made demands that can't be fulfilled, and in 48 hours, hundreds of thousands of children will die by "Invisible Sword". Not only does Alex have to save thousands of children, he also has to save himself and stop the worst terrorist disaster ever. While trying to save the world again, he finds out about his past and what really happened to his parents. On this whirlwind of an adventure, he discovers that not only his uncle was a spy, but his father was too.
This may be Alex's most dangerous mission yet, and MI6's youngest agent may not get out alive. This book is like a bomb that was set to go off five seconds ago. This book may be Anthony Horowitz best one yet, an explosive book that makes it seem you are in the book. A page turner with a suspenseful ending that makes you read this book over and over again. I loved this book and would recommend it to anyone, even readers that don't enjoy action/adventure books would love this one. Scorpia is about a teenage boy whose parents are killed in a plane crash. Alex then turns into an orphan owned by MI6.
Since Alex's dad worked for MI6, and was against a large criminal organization called Scorpia, Alex gets caught between the two.
Scorpia captures Alex and secretly plans to kill him and thousands of other children after Alex kills the boss of MI6. Scorpia names this plan The Invisible Sword.
They only do this for money from the government. This book was adventurous and interesting.
An exciting part was when Alex escapes from a chamber that fills with water killing any victim contained.
I would recommend this book to advanced readers. My opinion of this book is that it's exciting and thrilling. Some things to expect from this book are dangerous acts committed by Alex Rider.
Read this book to find out if Alex stops this madness.
Book Review: scorpia Summary: 4 Stars
What if the world's only hope turned evil? This is the central theme in Anthony Horowitz's fifth book about Alex Rider called Scorpia. In this excellent action mystery novel, Alex Rider, a 15-year-old spy, who has saved the world from evil four times in each of the previous books, has recently discovered that his father may have been an evil assassin. The book largely explores the mysteries related to his father's secret life and death, but you will need to have read the four earlier books to understand the characters and plot. Yassen, an evil assassin from the earlier books, tells Alex to go to Venice to discover more about his father. Alex then meets the devilish leader of Scorpia, Julia Rothman, who lets Alex join Scorpia, a group of brutal assassins, where he learns much about his father but also must decide whether to be good or evil. Anthony Horowitz's descriptive writing style makes the book very enjoyable. I strongly suggest this book to anyone who loves action, suspense, mystery, and James Bond. Overall, Scorpia was one of the best Alex Rider books so far.
Book Review: Scorpia Review Summary: 4 Stars
I have read all of the Alex Rider books up to this one and think that this was one of the best. The author has an amazing way with coming up with interesting villains and diabolical (if not sometimes ridiculous)plots for them to put to the test. This was the first book in the series that I thought had some genuinely suspenseful moments (namely the landing of the plane with the sports team). It also had quite a few multidimensional characters. However, there were a few negative aspects to this book. These include the fact that villians have something seriously against just shooting Alex and being done with it(with the exception of the sniper of course)and the second to last chapter. I mean was it really necessary to make *SPOILERS AHEAD* John Rider such a good guy? And if so, I find it very unrealistic that Mrs. Jones persisted in lying to Alex and making him believe that his father worked for Scorpia!
Even so, this was a well written book with a good plot and in my opinion, is worth 4 (or 4.5) stars out of 5.
Book Review: Zac Loved the Book! Summary: 4 Stars
Anthony Horowitz has made one of the most thrilling and action packed adventures in the Alex Rider series. In this great book Alex is back with MI6 to stop the organization that killed his father, Scorpia. Alex will uncover many dark secrets about his past as well as yet again save the world, or will he? This spy novel has greatly developed characters, action, adventure, and suspense. Readers who have read even one book in Alex Rider series are those who I encourage the most to read this. I also give caution to those who have not read any in the series because those who do could get lost easy.
If I had to rate this book, I would give it a four out of five, five being the greatest. Readers will be interested from the moment they pick up this page turner until they set it down. This book is one of the greatest of the Alex Rider series.
