Book Reviews of Scorpia (Alex Rider Adventure)Book Review: Scorpia Summary: 5 Stars
This book is the second to last in the Alex Rider series which also includes Skeleton Key and Stormbreaker and written by Anthony Horowitz. Just like Skeleton Key, it has a very slow beginning, but then later in the book, the pace picks up. The plot of this book is that an organization, "Scorpia" is trying to kill thousands of kids. Will Alex Rider will save the day? Or will he work for the organization SCORPIA?
There are a few questionable parts in this book like: how does Alex get shot and live? Yet, Anthony Horowitz is very descriptive when it comes to action chapters. This book is very intense! I liked this book because of the excitement factor-there's a big war between the M16 and SCORPIA with machine guns. I thought that this was an action-packed book with tons of explosions and lots of suspense! It ends with a BANG!
I think this book is appropriate for students in middle school.
Book Review: Its What for Diner Tonight Summary: 5 Stars
Alex is boy the age of 14, but he is not an ordinary boy. He has done many missions for MI6. MI6 is a secret organization that protects the U.K. After the death of Yassen Gregorovich he followed his last words, "Go to Venice. Find Scorpia and find you destiny." Alex doesn't know anything about them only that when he finds them he will find his destiny. When he finds the he is put into there group and sent on a mission to kill the one who killed his father. His former boss. After this happens he must save the world from something he doesn't know anything about.
Scorpia was written by Anthony Horowitz. I liked the pace of the book. It didn't drag on. It was full of action and thrill. I personally would have wanted him to stay on the dark side longer, maybe for a book then switch back.
Book Review: pce student review Summary: 5 Stars
I like the book Scorpia because it has action and sadness. I think Alex is really cool because he does all the action, is a spy, and does all the stunts so I think he is my favorite character. I think this book should be for people ten and up because it has a little violence. My favorite part is when Alex gets chased by Scorpia agents and jumps on the prarie. This book is about Alex wanting to find out about his father because he doesn't know if he's good or bad. But while doing that he has to stop agents for a group called Scorpia that does bad stuff to people. But I'm not going to spoil anything else because you might want to read it. Well that's pretty much it.
Book Review: My favorite Alex Rider Adventure Summary: 5 Stars
Having just read the six existing Alex Rider books in rapid succession, this one is by far my favorite. I really enjoyed learning more about Alex's parents and his father's career.
Also, I was able to connect the most with the character of Alex through this particular book. The previous books do not closely examine Alex's emotions or psyche (which I find to be appropriate because his "lack" of emotion is likely a desireable trait for a spy). In this installment we see a growing internal conflict in our hero, making things all the more interesting.
This book is by far the most exciting and interesting Alex Rider book!
Book Review: A book that influenced my life Summary: 5 Stars
CORNERED!
In this novel a teen-aged boy named Alex Rider, a spy working for a confidential organization named M16. I have not read the rest of the books but it is still a novel that is easy to pick up. Continuing, He is shocked of the fact that is father may have been an assassin for Scorpia, the most powerful terrorist organization in the world. Eventually he joins Scorpia, where they are planning to launch an invisible sword that will kill thousands of people. This book has influenced my life because it has taught me to never give up, to have perseverance, and that nothing is impossible.
