Book Review: Very good overview of fundamentals of financial accounting

It has been years since I last took my accounting class and I needed a refresher for my MBA program.
This book was ideal for that purpose. This book covers all the fundamentals of Financial Accounting. It is similar to a Accounting 101 course.
The explanations are great and concise and are more lucid than most textbooks.
As with all the Schaum's books, there are multitude of accounting problems at the end of each chapters to solve. Additionally, this book has a periodic "examination" chapters that provides exam questions based on the material of the previous 3 chapters.
This book covers the following:
1)Financial statements (mainly income statement and balance sheet)
2)General Ledger accounting
3)Adjusting and Closing Entries (very well done)
4)Accy for Merchandise and retail
5)Cash and short term investments
6)Inventories
7)AR and AP
8)Fixed assets, depreciation
9)Liabilities
10)Corporations, Partnerships
11)Financial Statement Analysis (Weak)
12)Statement of Cash Flows.
This book only has a shallow coverage of accounting and does not dig into more detailed and advanced accounting concepts. This book would not be ideal, for example, for those who are trying to pass the CPA exam. But this book is ideal for those who are studying Accy 101 or need a fundamental accy refresher.
