Book Review: Intelligent summary of current research

Dr. Meldrum's book is a good synopsis of the current state of Sasquatch research. His approach is detailed, careful, and comprehensive. Although I am already somewhat familiar with the subject, the book presented enough facts that were new to me to keep my full attention.
Reading this book left me with the impression that this subject is starting to move from being a target of general ridicule to being recognized as deserving serious attention. I recommend this book to anyone that is intelligent and curious enough to want to understand the reasons for that change. Dr. Meldrum deserves much of the credit for that shift.
Several of the chapters are for an educated audience, or for those that aren't afraid of new vocabulary and topics. For example, there is a chapter on statistics, and the chapters on assumed foot morphology, dermatoglyphs, and DNA analysis use plenty of technical terms. I recommend that you dive right in. They are the best chapters in the book. Dr. Meldrum's background in science is what sets this book apart.

By far the finest book written on the subject. Period, full stop, end of discussion. Here the legend of sasquatch is put to a thorough scientific test. The evidence is laid out and the reader can form their own conclusions. Meldrum has done an excellent job compiling all the legitimate evidence for the existence of a North American primate and not played to the commercial or bogus claims. He has exposed the hoaxes for what they and stayed true to his scientific foundation. His dedication to research is shown by not giving more than a passing mention to the junk "investigators" who continue to fabricate evidence. Meldrum's conclusions are based on fact. Anything less will not suffice. This field of study needs more hardcore researchers like Meldrum and the late Grover Krantz. This book is a MUST READ for anyone even slightly interested in this topic. You might as well get the facts before you read a bunch on conjecture and alleged "eye-witness" reports. This book was given to me by Dr. Saiffuddin from Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad India after I had discussed my own encounter with the Mande Burung People. From a scientific perspective on the subject of Sasquatch, it really has no equal at all worldwide., Professor Meldrum goes thru a plethora of interesting topics, giganthopithecus, fossil remains, continental divide theories, Cryptid morphology, habitat findings in detail, DNA test results, native plant/fauna biology of the Americas, possible hair samples, primate behavioral patterns, and much, much more
This is a true scientific scholarly work of the highest magnitude. The future will show that it deserves to be read along with the writings of Rene Descartes, among the sciences in the discipline of Biology
I invite my friends in the Scientific Community of Asia to read the contents of this very unique work of art.

Book Review: Best Book & DVD on the Subject of a North American Great Ape!

This is seminal work in the research of "BIGFOOT." The author is a man of science, and not a "Believer" putting his academic job on the line, and being an EXPERT in the study of how primate learned to be bipedal (walk on 2 legs) this anatomist, and archaeologist systematically goes through the EVIDENCE and not the hyped up sensational cases to prove that their is a high likely hood that their is an unknown primate in North America predating white man's arrival into this country. He backs up what he says. Anyone with an open mind, who is not easily swayed but convinced by science will come away thinking there IS A HIGH LIKELY HOOD we are not the only large primate in North America. I think even if you have seen the video on the Discovery Channel one would be wise to buy both the book and DVD with the special features that are not shown when aired on TV would be a good investment. I'm sure the avid debunkers have not studied the book, nor the DVD. KUDOS Dr. Meldrum!!!Book Review: A fresh look at an old mystery

I first bought the DVD in 2006 thinking it would be just another group of stories of encounters from different people from different walks of life, kind of like an AA meeting, " Hello, my name is Jaime and I had a bigfoot encounter....audience says, Hello Jaime". It was far more than that, it was as I always wanted to see. It is about the illumination of evidence that has been ignored or never realized until Jeff brought the best and brightest in their specialized fields to help make a determination on the likelihood of their existence. He has helped me dramatically in guiding me in my own independent research. You can find my videos on youtube, look up "Summer of the Sasquatch". I spoke to Jeff personally on several occassions and perceive him as a very honest man with high standards of integrity. Someone I would be honored to be associated with. A job well done Jeff. Where's the sequel?
