Book Reviews of Santa Clawed (Mrs. Murphy Mysteries)

Book Review: One of the Best Rita Mae Brown Books I have read to date
Summary: 5 Stars

I have read many of Rita Mae Brown's books, Harry, Fair, Miranda, Mim, Little Mim,Susan, Harry's best friend, and the whole gang.. She always makes you right at home with all of her books.. I love the way her "fur children" seem to tell the story, and "talk" among themselvs and always seem to solve the crimes. You never know what Tee Tucker the corgi, or Pewter the fat grey cat, Mrs.Murphy, the tiger cat, will do... They are always into something.. There is a black snake that lives in the barn loft along with an wise old owl, and a possum..
They all have a "party line" going to keep information going between all of the animals in the area.. they are all enjoyable reads, and you hate to put them down, and always sorry when the book is done.
I always look forward to a new book coming out, and reread them often, even though I know, "who done it" they are a good read, and I would recommend this group of books to anyone who is an animal lover, plus a mystery buff..

Book Review: ALWAYS A PLEASURE...
Summary: 5 Stars

Lest you think that well-written "lighter" novels are not worth your time to read, let me tell what a kick I get out of RMB's books. First, I earned a PhD at Univ. of So. Cal...and yes, I do read professional literature and "serious" papers.

BUT, give me a light, humorous story (with animals--anthropomorphize as you will or won't)and I am out-of-touch for the evening. Yes, I giggle at Simon and am in awe of Athena. I adore Harry and her cohorts, especially Miranda and Susan.

Let down your intellectual snobbery, your "academic" hair, and enjoy a really good read. I have a deal with Amazon: They let me know whenever Rita Mae has let loose with another delight.

Book Review: Great Christmas mystery!
Summary: 5 Stars

I loved her latest book. Mrs. Murphy, Pewter, and Tucker once again save their mom and help solve the mystery. It is a great story just in time for Christmas--she makes you feel like you are sharing the season with Harry and her family. Rita's descriptions of the snow fall is so fun and real. We live in the mountains of New Mexico, with weather similar to Harry's weather--the snow was falling here as it was in the story. It is a great mystery for the holidays, with the dates accurate for 2008, which made it so realistic. All cat mystery lovers should grab this book and read it!

Book Review: Another enjoyable read from the Mrs. Murphy series
Summary: 5 Stars

It's Christmas in Virginia, and Harry, Fair, Tucker, Mrs. Murphy, and Pewter are quite excited about choosing a Christmas tree. Unfortunately, when they go to the Christmas tree lot to pick up their tree, there is a dead body in the lot. One of the monks has been murdered.
Once again the animals assist in solving the mystery, finding clues that their human counterparts miss.
This book has a couple of layers to the mystery, making it a bit different than the traditional Mrs. Murphy books. It is a very enjoyable and fun read, as are all of the books in this series.

Book Review: Santa Clawed
Summary: 5 Stars

I always enjoy the Sneaky Pie Brown books. They're a fun read and the characters are like family. I've recommended the series to many people and pass my books around.
