Book Reviews of Run for Your Life (Michael Bennett)

Book Review: Who Wrote This?????
Summary: 4 Stars

This latest Patterson/Ledwidge collaboration was excellent. A fast exciting read with a great "bad guy", The Teacher, and a persistent, tired, family oriented detective. So ... Even though I rated it 4 stars, why did I get the feeling I have read something similar to this before. Then it came to me Most of the story read like a past Jeffery Deaver book; that is until the ending. Then the ending read like the end of one of Robert K. Tanenbaum's books (The one where the "fallen" priest kills the "fallen, killer" attorney in New York's harbor. But, if you have never read Deaver or Tanenbaum, pick up a copy of "Run For Your Life". It really is very good!

Book Review: Another great book!
Summary: 4 Stars

This book is another great thriller from James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge . A cold-hearted killer who calls himself The Teacher is taking out the rich and the obnoxious people of New York City. As one body after another turns up murdered and a city is up in arms, Bennett has to deal with a flu epidemic among his 8 kids at the same time he's hunting down the killer. This is a story that can only end one way - lots's and lot's of action! This is a great book and I'd heartily recommend it. This book was so good I couldn't put it down and read it in a day.

Book Review: Great Book
Summary: 4 Stars

This being my first Patterson novel, I was nervous because I read some recent reviews on his latest novels that didn't live up to the hype ("Cross Country) But I am so glad I picked this one up because it was a fantastic read! I finished it in 3 sittings it was very hard to put down. You don't even realize that you are reading so many pages because you are immersed in the story as the reader. I plan on picking up a few more Patterson books to add to my collection.

Book Review: Good but not great!
Summary: 4 Stars

James Patterson has a large following and several series, and this one is the second in this series and though the plot is sharper than the more recent titles and the characters more interesting, the lack of characterization is disappointing. The dialogue seems forced and not realistic. However the book is saved by a strong, interesting plot. Not the best Patterson, but still worth reading.

Book Review: Did not dissapoint!
Summary: 4 Stars

I enjoyed this pageturner! I love the short chapters, constant action, and it took me away from boring TV shows. I loved the Michael Bennett character in Step on a Crack and he was so good in this book, too! I hope the next book has him involved in a romance. Good, fast read.
