Book Review: Few weak spots
Summary: 5 Stars
Unlike the hyper-critical here, I give Mr. Reich 5 stars. I'll tell you why: after attempting to read a few other books that just didn't hold my attention, this one made me late for work for nearly a week! Instead of the paper, I'd pick-up this book and just keep reading. I was disappointed when I finished because I wanted it to go on. But it looks like my wish will come true! The author is coming out with a sequal later this summer and I can hardly wait. I hope it's as good as this one.
Were there some weak spots? Yes, of course! Virtually all good books do. But they were over-shadowed by the great character development of the central figures. The plot, though far-fetched, was engaging and kept moving at a fast pace. Novels allow us a form of escapism and one needs to suspend belief with geopolitical and technical thrillers. What fun is reality when you can have fantasy? At any rate, this book is a great read and you'll be done in no time.

This is by far one of the best spy thrillers I have ever read. Although I read Rules of Vengeance first, both books complement each other and offer two breathtaking tales.
What will continuously be obvious to you is that Reich knows his stuff, and is a master at pacing. The book reads like an action movie and I was completely immersed in the action.
And the plot twists. Wow. All the twists will make your head spin, but as the story unfolds, everything somehow makes sense.
I interviewed Christopher Reich on my radio show and was impressed by his love for the craft. I can't wait for the next thriller.
Book Review: Flawless espionage thriller

What can be said about this masterpiece that hasn't already been said? The concept of "a fish out of water" plunged into a world of deception while in a state of shock first caused by his wife's death and then by the discovery of her career as a spy. Enough can't be said. I, rather unfortunately, read RULES OF VENGEANCE first and so knew much of this story before reading it and still found it great in spite of knowing the twists coming up. The book I purchased was a gift for my husband. It was Rules of Deception by Christopher Reich. He hasn't read it yet since I try to buy him at least 10 books at a time, however he has read other books by this author. The vendor we purchased from was great. As a long time James Bond fan I am always looking for additional authors to read. In this series Mr. Reich provides an engaging, interesting, and fast moving spy thriller set in modern times. I have read this book and its sequel Rules of Vengeance. They can easily disrupt your life since you really don't want to put them down until you finish. Can't wait to read the next one.
