Book Reviews of Ruby's Falling Leaves (Max and Ruby)Book Review: Great book! Summary: 5 Stars
My 2 year old loves Max and Ruby, we got her this book and she just loves it. Cute story!
Book Review: Not great. Summary: 3 Stars
My son is very into Max and Ruby, but the Nick Jr. books are hardly worth reading. I recommend sticking with the original author, Rosemary Wells.
Book Review: TOXIC vapors emitted by plastic coating on this book Summary: 1 Stars
Do we need more government regulation, not less? Get the government off our backs. I guess that means letting publisher print books that emit plastic vinyl vapors for our kids to breathe. My three year old was cutting this book with a scissors when I realized she was trying to tell me something. I got a headache from the plastic reek, while I repairing it with cellophane tape. I find it difficult to believe the parents giving this book good reviews don't see this as a problem. How bad do chronic disorders among kids have to get, before we realize it is not our dysfunctional genes that are to blame, but rather it is the countless ecological factors?
Book Review: Disappointing Summary: 1 Stars
We are big fans of the Max and Ruby books by Rosemary Wells. Her books are clever and sweet and I don't get tired of reading them over and over to my daughter. But, this is a knock-off book. It's Max and Ruby but, it's not written by Rosemary Wells. I found it totally lacking in the creativity and humor that I've come to enjoy from Ms. Wells and would not recommend this book. It's dull and makes Max sound ridiculous.
Book Review: disappointing Summary: 1 Stars
We love Max and Ruby. Ruby's Falling Leaves however, misses the charm & humor of the others we have read. Even the illustrations are lacking compared the original Max&Ruby books.
It is wordy and monotonous.
