On a trip to Disney World, family and I listened to Blair Brown and Stephen King transform this story of an abused wife into reality. The story extends the ideas in both Delores Clairborne and Gerald's Game but has just the right amount of mystic/mythic elements ts to make it fall into the old King genre. I often wonder what King's life growing up was like as a result of some of the troubled people in his novels. It frequently seems like he is attempting to get rid of his demons in his stories of abuse. Using Stephen King as the husband was brilliant. There have been few meaner monster's in my recent reading
