When I heard Geoffrey Ronning had published this book, I rushed to buy it without question. I have taken several Ronning training courses, have purchased many of his stage hypnosis products. There was no question I wouldn't consider not having this book. This book covers in detail what it takes to make a successful career in an extremely rewarding field. In the years I have been working with Geoffrey, my business has grown, most importantly the quality of my hypnosis shows has dramatically increased. All that I have spent years on learning is now in this book. I hesitate to call it a book-it is more a WORK-book, with the emphasis on WORK. This book not only details what, why, and how to be a stage hypnotist, it is more importantly full of exercises that MUST be done to benefit from the material covered. This is not a book to be read (reading will not teach you much), it is a book to be experienced and applied. I know that for a fact. Applying the tools and exercises taught here, will definitely boost your abilities and career in the amazing world of hypnosis. Bravo to Geoffrey and Wendy for a major work in the craft of stage hypnosis.

Geoff Ronning has been delivering live Stage Hypnosis training along with a range of Stage Hypnosis training products for many years.
He has now written this superb book on the subject.
While there are many books on Stage Hypnosis, this book from Geoff Ronning goes miles further.
Along with covering the fundamentals such as hypnosis, organising the show, equipment etc. Geoff Ronning goes further into covering the actual "business" of Stage Hypnosis.
Geoff Ronning practices what he preaches. If you want a career as a successful full time Stage Hypnotist then this book should answer all your questions. Every time I have dealt personally or professionally with Geoffrey Ronning and the Stage Hypnosis Center, he and his staff are always top professionals. What makes Ronning and his advice unique to anybody wanting to perform stage hypnosis is that nobody--and I mean NOBODY--is so consistantly promoting and teaching stage hypnosis while simultaneously performing stage hypnosis shows for a living as does Geoffrey Ronning. He has dominated this niche successfully for a long time because he has love and passion for the hypnosis business that you won't find anywhere else.

Book Review: Does the Stage Hypnosis book work?

I am a newbie to hypnosis and have never seen a hypnosis show. I read the Stage Hypnosis book and did the lesions. My first practice/show was for my wife, as we had a guest over that wanted to be hypnotized to quack like a duck and forget his name. It went like this: I used the EKG method, eye test,arm bar, other deepening techniques. I did:hot/cold at the beach;driving a car flirting with girls,dance the salsa. He danced but not very active. Woke him up and talked ,as my wife thought we were faking it. Put him back under in an imaginary garden. Did a "fart routine"(this was funny!!!). He chirped at baby chics then clucked with their mother. Post hypnotic to forget his name until asked to spell it. This went on until I released him from the post hypnotic. There are many hypnosis books on the market today, some gems, but too many which read like school essays simply rehashing the same old fashioned information.
I am delighted to say the Ronning Guide To Modern Stage Hypnosis is very much one of these rare Gems.
The book is written in a punchy, fast paced and no BS manner which allows you to quickly learn exactly what you want to know.
Rather than just sticking to stage basics, Geoff Ronning teaches you hypnotic language skills and other exercises to allow you to hone your craft.
The exercises in the book after every section are essential for focusing on your goals and allowing you to better absorb and understand the material. These alone make this far more than just another stage hypnosis book.
Much to my surprise this book actually does give you all the tools to start from scratch and be a stage hypnotist - fully recommended.
