Book Review: The mechanics and the mysteries -- it's all spelled out

Why buy another book on comedy hypnosis? Is this another encyclopedia of tried-and-true basics?
No. This one-volume work is worth a SET of encyclopias for successful performance of a stage hypnosis show that will blow away any limitations on what is possible for anyone starting out in the field. Ronning's perspective is individualized, personal, and proven.
Plenty of performers have struck out along the path only to watch the trail peter out, or worse, find themselves on a steep climb they abandon without the equipment they needed to scale the heights.
As a student of Ronning's work, I wondered what he'd choose to include in this book. I got the book in the mail two days ago, Fast shipping . First of all the book is really well made hard cover front and back the pages are made of good material and quality . Well, I studied over the years a whole range of books on hypnotism.
Of all the books in the subject of hypotism this is the most complete work after the new encyclopedia of stage hypnotism by Ormond McGill . This book cover all the nuts and bolts of the entertainment industry
in stage hypnosis.
From the mindset of the entertainer to how to set the show step by step to be successful. And how to avoid and overcome challenges and pitfall during any show .
Geoffrey Ronning goes deep in the setting of Inductions ,showmanship and marketing techniques. One Of my favorite thing is the EKF Induction technique as soon as I read about it.
I decide it to try it in a group of people. It amaze me as how deeply and fast the group that I experiment with went into hypnosisand how responsive they were. Just for that it COVERS the cost of the whole book .
I recommend this book to anybody interested in stage Hypnotism from beginners to experience. there something to learn for everybody. this book will truly become the bible and a classic in the works of Stage hypnotism.

Book Review: Get ready to start a new career

I've wanted to learn hypnosis for years and I've tried other books, other videos and other resources. The others left me feeling cold and quite frankly lost. This book is easy to understand, easy to digest and what's more it reads like something that's actually been tested in the real world. as a full time entertainer, I've learned to tell the difference between the pie in the sky stuff and the material that works in the real world in front of real audiences. In short - this is for everyday entertainers who want to do gigs, not for people who live in Vegas! The other thing I want to point out is that this book also reveals EVERYTHING- other so-called experts concentrate solely on the inductin but anybody who knows anything about the induction knows that hypnosis is SO much more than merely the induction. this book covers the pretalk, induction (and what a great induction it is) construction of the show, polishing your show, show problems and more. There have been so many "experts" who never talk about what happens if the show doesn't go smoothly - by covering this topic in depth, the authirs are acknowledging that things can and do go wrong. For many of us, it's the final piece of the puzzle, leaving no stone unturned. Phenomenal. I wish this book was available years ago. I could've learned so much more and saved so much money and time. From a 15 year vetern of entertainment, this book gets my highest recommendation.Book Review: A great addtion to a Stage Hypnotist's or someone who wants to become one's library

Received this book today and read it from cover to cover in one (long) sitting. Because I've purchased and studied nearly every thing published and produced by the author, I did skip many of the exercises. However,to get the full benefit of the information in this book, I will return to them and do each exercise, as recommended by the author.
The book itself is well written and very well organized. It takes you from A to Z on how to get started as a Stage Hypnotist, how to structure a show, the routines to use, and even how to handle the problems that might occur. Mr. Ronning makes it clear that you will not become a successful Stage Hypnotist overnight, or without effort, but provides one with the tools to get started down that path. The 'Guest Expert Contributions' section makes for interesting reading, and offers useful tips from people with real world experience.
As someone who has studied Mr. Ronning's offerings, this book was more of a review than something totally new. However, it will serve as a handy reference, and does provide several new tips that alone make the book a worthwhile purchase and read. I highly recommend it as a standalone purchase, and also as a complementary resource for the many other stage hypnotist products offered by Mr. Ronning.

WOW!!! This is the real thing. I learned stage hypnosis back in the 60's and learned we how to do it by the book (old school). No disrespect to the famous authors of that time, but they taught technique and did little to teach the business side of show business. Mr Ronnings book has enough performing info to help update a routine that was on its way to becoming dated. He has freely given from his years of experience to help with the "real how to's"---what to do when things are less than text book perfect. This is info that comes from years in the trenches. He also gives real advice(not theory) on how to get up and running in a short time and make a buck in the process. What is the difference between an amateur and a pro? about 250 shows!!! Read this book and Geoff will see to it that you have a great jump start towards that 250---Pro level. Again---thank you from a newbie---yes a newbie with over 45 yrs experience!!! Who says that you can't teach an old dog new tricks---Suerly not Mr. Ronning
