Book Reviews of Ronnie: The AutobiographyBook Review: ronnie wood Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great book and fun to read. No wonder everyone from jeff Beck, Rod Stewart, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, all of the Rolling Stones and many more wanted to hang out as friends and play with this man. It comes across in this book. There' also a lot of history on the early days how all the early groups in England got there start and Ronnie was there. Most of all no matter what anyone thinks of the life of a rocker his family comes across as the most important thing in his life. This is a very good book and worth the buy.
Book Review: Great Read!! Summary: 5 Stars
I've read hundreds of interviews, books, on the Stones, and have to say Ronnie's book is one of the best. It is written just as if you are hearing Ronnie tell it. I cracked up when he mentioned the time Christopher Reeves was at his house and his kids thought that Superman was hurt. Ronnie Wood is a good guitar player, and hope he does write another book that goes into his guitar playing more than talking about the good old partying-drug days. Thanks Ronnie for all the music and art you have brought into the world.
Book Review: oddly inspiring Summary: 5 Stars
I found this book entertaining, well written, good and oddly inspiring. I read, right before this one, the Pattie Boyd book (good, fun and also entertaining), and Clapton,( loved it.) This was perfect for the time I read it. Filled in a lot that was left out of the other two, and he (Ronnie) must be as nice and funny and dear (& truly talented) as Pattie discribed him. It also made me realize why Clapton didn't mention this Ronnie as much as he might have.
Book Review: Somebody please help me Summary: 5 Stars
Does Wood talk about his time with Faces in this book, or is mainly about the Stones? If he discusses life with Faces, then I'm going to pick this up. If its main focus is only on the Stones, then I'll pass. I love the Stones, but Faces need to get their due. Great, great band. The AP newspaper review didn't mention Faces once. Sad.
Thanks.
Book Review: Good Times! Summary: 5 Stars
Read this back to back with the Patti Boyd autobiography. Recommend them both together as they play off one another nicely. Ronnie reveals himself as a really remarkable artist and an excellent gypsy counterpoint to Keith's pirate. Narrated in an easy going, likeable and humorous voice, well worth the read for any Faces or Stones fan.
