I bought this book for my son who likes to read adventure series of historical fiction. He is particularly interested in Egyptology, so this sounded good. I actually bought it because of the reviews.
I wasn't planning to read it, but when it arrived, it looked interesting, so I did. I don't know enough about Egyptian history to comment on the accuracy as other reviewers have, but I liked the book. The characters were well drawn and held my interest. I thought the story was very entertaining and I will probably read more of this series. If my son likes it as much as I did, I will get more of this series and we will both read them.

Another Wilbur Smith book you simply can't put down. From page one to the end he keeps you spellbound by his description of ancient Egypt and his skillful weaving of a love story full of romance and mystery. Wilbur Smith is a master of suspense and when you think you have figured out what will happen next, he will surprise you with a clever twist. I highly recommend this book which is the first of a series of three. I can't wait to read the next one.Book Review: Great book

I don't usually read fiction but every once in awhile it is good to try something different. After having this book recommended to me by several Wilbur Smith fans I found the time to read it. I am glad I did. It is a long book but Wilbur can sure transport you back in time to another world. Well worth reading.

I liked this book. Just wish the series was on Kindle. I'm so spoiled now that I can't even think of bringing a big book with me on my travels. Sorry Wilbur Smith. I will read all your series when they are on Kindle.
