Book Reviews of River God: A Novel of Ancient EgyptBook Review: A great Novel!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I've read this book twice already and love it. It is a bit similar to another great novel:"The Egyptian" an international best seller since 1949 by Mika Waltari. Wilbur Smith has his unique imagination and story regarding the ancient Egypt of about 4000 years ago and this will take the reader to another level of intrigue and excitement. Make sure to follow up with its sequel: "The Warlock".
Book Review: I LOVE THIS BOOK! Summary: 5 Stars
This was lent to me by a friend to read while I was sick... Wow! I didn't want to put it down. Didn't want to get out of bed. Read and read until way past midnight. I fell in love with Wilbur Smith's writing. Also read The Seventh Scroll right afterwards. Am looking for anything else of his to read. Quite wondeful!
Book Review: Excellent Read Summary: 5 Stars
River God: A Novel of Ancient Egypt - Few books touched my heart as much as this one. It is well done as one is transported back and engulfed to a time in Egypt where one can truly imagine that they are there and a part of all that is happening.
Genuine enjoyment... a pleasure to read.
Book Review: One of my top 10 Summary: 5 Stars
There are a handful of books that elicited a deep sigh when completed; River God was one of those books. Along with The Lord of the Rings and Gary Jennings' Aztec, River God joins my personal trilogy of great books.
Book Review: VERY ENTERTAINING Summary: 5 Stars
Other Reviewers-WAWAWA! It's not historically accurate enough. So unbelievable.
WHO CARES? These things should be overlooked because of how stinkin entertaining this book is.
