Book Reviews of RingworldBook Review: Ringworld WOW! I'm filled with awe. Summary: 5 Stars
The Ringworld is the best scifi story I've ever read (and I,ve read quite a lot). This book was so good that I just had to reread all my Known Space stories again. Man Kzinti Wars, Neutron Star, Protector and so on. I reread it again before reading Ringworld Throne. It got me this time around too. This must have been my fifth time around reading this book. It does grow on me! Good work Larry Niven. It must be one of the best scifi books ever written
Book Review: A true science-fiction masterpiece and series Summary: 5 Stars
The first time I read "Ringworld" was when I was in high school and I still own it and have read it, along with the rest of the series, several times. It is definitely that enthralling! I have placed it alongside other works of this type such as "Cryptonomicon", "Snow Crash", "Neuromancer", "Foundation", "Darkeye: Cyber Hunter", etc. Each as intriguing and gripping in their own rights.
Book Review: Greatest Work of all time. Summary: 5 Stars
Ringworld is by far the best book I have ever read, that along with its sequel are my absolute favorite works from any author, throughout all time. Insane? Maybe, Exadurate? I dare not. This book is simply THAT good. I read it for the first time when I was twelve and was simply blown away, now years later, I picked it up again over a weekend and could NOT stop reading it untill I was finished. Niven is a god amungst men. All hail!
Book Review: One of the most imaginative books i have read Summary: 5 Stars
Trying to visualize the Arc at night was what caught my imagination. Larry Niven has got easy style of writing and if you read this in the context of the 'known space' it is fascinating how he unfolds the entire history of a 1000 years. Maybe that is just the way we may go. Isaac Asimov has mainly human beings in his Foundation Saga but Larry Niven brings in various other species and this is more probable.
Book Review: One of the best books I've read Summary: 5 Stars
I've seen some people criticizing (sp?) this book, and frankly, I don't want to hear any of that :) I personally didn't have any of the complaints that others seem to. I found the book (and the sequels) interesting. It never lost that sense of mystery and amazement. The book that I think is closest in feel is Rondezvous With Rama. It has the same atmosphere to me. I'd definitely recommend reading it.
