I'ved always liked Cook's Illustrated Magazine and had high hopes for this recipe book. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I found the recipes to be heavy on fat, light on taste, and uninspired. I didn't even think this was a good enough book to give to a beginning cook who might need more basic recipes. I'll be selling my copy on one of the used book sites as soon as I find a buyer. Don't waste your money on this one!
