Book Review: Offensive... Insane... Explosive
Summary: 5 Stars
Repo was originally published as a five issue limited series. The second issue blurb, by writer Matt Fraction, summed up the series better than I ever could: "...Like a candy bar filled with gasoline". This series, set in the far future, filled with flying cars, zip strips (see the video game series F-Zero), collateral managers on the outskirts of law, clones, and gunfights and fistfights galore, is at times funny, jaw dropping, and exciting.
It has a buddy cop movie feel, where the two lead Repomen bicker with one another, but also watch out for one another.
The story revolves around a clone that is kidnapped, a clone whose heart is intended for a billionaire jerk, who offers millions of dollars for the heart returned. The two central characters run into two rival repo teams, one of which actually works with their company as well.
Anyways. It's a great, quirky series, but it uses lots of profanity and a few racial slurs, so if that's offensive, you probably want to avoid it.
