Being familiar with Wolffe only as an TV commentator, I was highly pleased to find that I thouroughly enjoyed every page of this book. It gives one a lively glance into the workings of one of the most successful presidential campaigns in recent times; as well as insight
into the persons and personalities of those involved. Terrific reading!

Great book - lots if interesting info from behind the scenes of the campaign. More insightful and personal than the drivel spewing incessantly from the talking heads on TV. Richard Wolffe is a great writer (as well as commentator). He makes accessible to the reader an emotional connection to his subject and to politics in general. Great read.Book Review: Insightful

As I expected Richard Wolfe has written a thoughtful, insightful book about the remarkable man who is our President. It is not a quick read but is also not a slogger. He shows us the human side of Obama as well as the pragmatic politician and I am decidedly more satisfied about my work toward his election than before. Richard, you rock!!Book Review: PURE RENEGADE

I enjoyed reading very much! This book has great insight into the behind the scenes of the campaign. It is well written- Wolffe has the rare ability to make politics interesting for those not naturally drawn to it. His ability to articulate w/ passion & blend humor throughout is ideal! Renegade --- I watch Richard Wolfe on MSNBC and like him a lot. After reading this book, I have new admiration for his talents. He did a beautiful job relating the events of the campaigns and it was enlighting to see the human side of Obama and his family during this time. Written well, and throughly enjoyed. Louise Colvin
