I applaud Ms. Hughes attempt at writing this book. I did learn details there were never brought forth about the 1993 allegations. They were all a lie from the beginning, as many of us believed. What I didn't like about this book was the format in which she chose to write. The first few sections of the book could have easily been summed up into a few pages. I really did not need an extensive background on the author. Secondly, all the references to California penal codes could have been omitted or listed in a section at the end of the book. The general public is not going to understand what all those laws mean. Also, I did not need a definition of all the legal jargon. I could easily have looked that up myself. I really wish that Ms. Hughes had focused more on the subject at hand. I would have liked a more indepth analysis of the situation. I am a Christian, but I feel that she makes too many religious references. If I was reading religious material, it would be okay. The overuse in this book was completely unnecessary. Half of this book needn't have been included. This book is okay, but not as well written as I would have liked. I would still recommend it based on the fact that it sheds light on how the child molestation allegations came to light.
