Book Review: The Best Christmas Story EVER!
Summary: 5 Stars
Though I purchased this book because I am a long-time fan of anything Opus, this marvelous creation has nothing to do with Opus whatsoever. This tale of a cynical depression era boy is filled with twists and turns young and old will love. The artwork is exceptional, the story creative, and the ending a surpise which will warm the heart of the most confirmed Scrooge.This is, by far, my favorite Christmas book. Buy several and give them as gifts - I have!

With both a fascinating story and incredible illustrations, Red Ranger is the hands-down favorite in our house for both children and adults. We frequently give copies to friends as gifts. If you live in the Pacific Northwest, I also encourage a follow-up field trip to Vashon Island. While the bike is not as complete as it is in the story, there's clear astonishment on everyone's faces when they see that the story is "real".Book Review: Think you are too old, WRONG!!

I can't believe no one has reviewed this book yet! I was raised as a child on "Bloom County" and I have been brought back with B.B's children's books. However, "Red Ranger Came Calling" should be read at any age a hundred times over. It's hard to come by an author who writes and illustrates his own books. This book is side-splittingly funny. The story telling and imagination are unparalleled in any other Christmas story. My husband and I take turns reading to the kids, we all laugh until our bellies ache and tears are streaming down our cheeks. The amazing effect of this book on adult men is wonderful!. They will read this book to anyone who walks through the door. I Would like to find this book in hardback, the paperback is too worn. If anyone knows where i can get one, please let me know. I have a friend who needs one for her husband.This book like all the other Breathed books are well worth owning.
