Book Reviews of Rant: An Oral Biography of Buster CaseyBook Review: I bought this book for the cover design Summary: 5 Stars
I confess, I was intrigued by the cover artwork and pretty much bought the book because of it. I've never read Palahniuk, never had any intrest in seeing Fight Club when it was in theaters. I was totally blow away by this book!
The interview style of writing, which I thought would be cumbersome when I saw it was like that through the entire book, turned out to be exciting and fun to read. Palahniuk covers some thought provoking concepts of time I hadn't explored before. I'm definitly a new fan!
Although I'm still not sure how the cover art fits into the story
Book Review: A mind-blowing book. . . Summary: 5 Stars
Chuck Palahniuk has taken my mind through a ride that is hard to forget. This book is deep and philosophical on so many levels. The characters are amazing, you'll be hard-pressed to find similiar characters elsewhere. The plot is genius, a plot only Palahniuk could deliver. The idea of "creating the future" is refreshing, an interesting way of looking at the world around you. I have read this book two times now, and I would recommend re-reading this one because it is better the second time around. Rant is a mind-blowing book that should be read by everyone.
Book Review: Chuck is a master! Summary: 5 Stars
Rant is imaginative and completely original. You may feel lost trying to figure out what exactly is going on during the first few pages but soon everything falls into place and your mind is totally blown! The best book I have read in years and sure to be a modern classic. I love all the books I have read by Chuck Palahniuk and Rant is my favorite. You need this book.
Book Review: Rant was Outstanding! Summary: 5 Stars
This was my first Palahniuk book and i have to say i thought it was a great read. Even though he tells you the whole story in the first chapter there are still more than enough surprise to to keep you glued from cover to cover. i read it in acouple of days...i just coudn't put it down.
I read Chuck's going to write a whole rant series....can't wait!
Book Review: Beyond Chuck Summary: 5 Stars
Rant sheds light on yet another sick subculture of impossibilities... the story was raw, completely unpredictable, and very unsettling. It was beyond Chuck. I've never written a review about a book before, but I feel I'm compelled to because it got an overall 3.5 stars. Apparently only us "nighttimers" tried to bring this experience some justice.
