Book Reviews of Pumping Nylon

Book Review: radical
Summary: 5 Stars

i highly recommend this book to any burgeoning classical guitarist. since classical guitar is such an enormously technique based endeavor, it?s extremely helpful to have a guide which allows you to lay down a good foundation. going through the exercises, it become clear very quickly where your weakness lie, and what process you need to go to strengthen them.

I?ve only had this book for about a month, and already it has made a big difference in my playing. Very comprehensive, and very well done!!

Book Review: Two thumbs up (with nails shaped the way S. Tennant says)!
Summary: 5 Stars

It is very concerning to me that someone would find such problems with this book. I am of course referring to the gentleman from Los Alamitos and his thoughts on the book. Please remember that there is a big difference between someone who "plays professionally" and a serious student or concert artist. Students and pros should absolutely have this book in their library.

Book Review: Great Book
Summary: 5 Stars

Best overall technique book i've ever read, and i used to work at a music store for 2 years. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to straighten out their bad habits or learn new good habits in order to improve your coordination, speed, and reduce tension while playing all while improving your sound and of course, strengthening your fingers.

Book Review: The Intermediate
Summary: 5 Stars

Pumping Nylon was certainly a helpful book on technique and other various aspects of the classical guitar. I have been taking private lessons for years and the book covered many things that were extremely helpful. The downfall of this book is you certainly have to contain a long attention span for some of the techniques and exersizes recommended!

Book Review: Worth the money
Summary: 5 Stars

I am at the intermediate beginner level. Just the one tip on elbow position, which helped tremendously with my barre chords, made this book worth the money. I just wish I knew that the DVD was not included when I ordered. But a great book for technique nonetheless.
