Continuing the tradition that has made it a leader in its field, this casebook uses problems to provide an overview of lawyers' professional responsibility. One of the most rapidly changing fields in American law, professional responsibility sees new issues, rules and cases each year, all of which are covered in this book. The Tenth Edition has been carefully designed to be familiar to long time users, and accessible to new ones. It continues its tradition of offering the most usable and up-to-date course materials to teach legal ethics and the law governing the practice of law.Despite maintaining its familiar structure, the treatise covers all current developments in the field. This Edition covers the new American Bar Association's Model Rules of Judicial Conduct, which were extensively rewritten in 2007, as well as the ABA's Model Rules of Professional Conduct, which were also extensively rewritten in 2002; the American Law Institute's Restatement Third, The Law Governing Lawyers; and issues raised by federal agencies that play an important role in determining lawyer standards.
