In the years since our oldest child was born at 28 weeks and our fourth child, Katie Rose, was born at 24 weeks we had many questions about preemies---and this book helped to answer them. We were also confronted with explaining the birth of a preemie to our older siblings, which is what led to our writing The Story of Katie Rose: A Preemie's Journey. This addittional resource is written in simple, clear language and intended for kids and other families of preemies to help explain what is going on. Not a replacement for a comprehensive book, but rather a supplement material that is "a warm and candid account of the journey of both Katie Rose, and the Davis family.
