I love Dorothy M. Devney's Spanish Verb Tenses. Especially the abundant exercises which provide the practice everyone needs to really learn Spanish well.
I am currently using this fine guide along with Behind the Wheel Spanish 8 CDs and text. Virturally every major tense in Spanish Verb Tenses is represented in Behind the Wheel Spanish both in the book and in the CDs. These tenses include but are not limited to
present, present progressive, imperfect, preterite, present perfect and present progressive. Both approaches are providing me with the additional practice that I need to speak, read, write and truly master Spanish.
I recommend Spanish Verb Tenses along with Behind the Wheel since I am now getting such great results.

In Spanish there are 14 tenses and this book covers all of them as well as some things distinct to the Spanish language such as Hay, Ser vs Estar, Por vs Para and Saber vs Conocer. While this book is not a comprehensive text it is a great text to use to supplement one's learning and to get translation practice. I give it five stars for ease of use and simplicity of language. Beginners through advanced learners will find use for this dynamic book.I really like the translation practice because it helps student become aware of how things do not always translate word for word. I would recommend this text for any self learning student or traditional student who wants to get further practice and clarification on the Spanish verb tenses.Book Review: BEST way to practice Spanish conjugations & build vocabulary

I searched all over for a good workbook to improve my beginning Spanish skills, and most books are very scattered and don't have intensive and cleary defined excercises. This book is a work horse and gets the job done. Not only does it provide lots of practice with conjugating verbs,(which I found the biggest challenge in learning the language), but it also, builds vocabulary and grammar. MY favorite part was translating the english paragraphs into spanish, such good practice. I, only, wish that they had it in other languages. This book is an invaluable tool for those who already have the basics spanish skills but need practice with verbs and vocabulary. This text/workbook is so good that it travels with me from country to country when most of my books go in the garbage because they're heavy to carry. DD Richmond has a way of keeping the simple simple and making the complex understandable. A short lesson is presented; then the student can practice with worksheets that actually allow enough space to write in. It starts very basic but also tackles advanced and problematic areas for English speakers. Vocabulary development occurs naturally in the context of the verb study. The table of contents makes finding specifics easy. I've recommended this book to family members who are studying in the US as well as to people who come to Mexico for immersion Spanish classes.Book Review: No comparison, THE BEST verb workbook on the Market!!

This review is going to be really simple. I completed the Spanish course at the State Department's Foreign Service Institute. But I couldn't have done it without this book. It is hands-down the best one on the market for Spanish Verb Drills. And WHAT A VALUE!!!What's best? The authors leave enough space to write in the book. And at this price, you will want to write all over it. I have had less luck with workbooks that ask for a paragraph, but make you enter it in your own notebook, or worse, give you only one free line.
An added plus, there is a good glossary at the end of the book so you can easily look up unknown words without having to lug your dictionary around.
I can't say enough good. Buy it.
