Book Reviews of Plum Lovin' (A Between-the-Numbers Novel)

Book Review: Reading with Tequila
Summary: 4 Stars

The idea behind the Between-the-Numbers novels is growing on me. At first, in Visions of Sugar Plums, Diesel and his superhuman abilities worried me. I was afraid the entire Stephanie Plum series was going to become paranormal. I love paranormal, but the series didn't need to "jump the shark" in that fashion.

These short, holiday themed, supernaturally included books add a fun new dimension to the Plum series. As long as it continues in moderation, I may start to get excited about the prospect.

Plum Lovin' was rather enjoyable. The focus is on Valentine's Day and Stephanie is forced into the role of matchmaker. You can see the potential for disaster. I can't seem to understand Diesel, but I'm sure that's the point with his strange abilities and air of mystery. He can't compete with Ranger, or even Morelli, in terms of sexy time with Stephanie, but as we learn more and more about Ranger, it's nice to have a back up guy to wonder about.

Plum Lovin' is a fun little book that isn't necessary to the series, but puts Stephanie in some situations you may not want to miss.

Book Review: If You Need Your Stephanie Plum Fix
Summary: 4 Stars

I read a lot of books, mainly mysteries. I have my favorite authors but love to find good new ones. My dessert in reading are Janet E's Stephanie Plum books. I love to have fun with her and devour the books quickly and satisfyingly like a lovely chocolate cake, mousse, pie, ice cream or bar. Plum Lovin' was a good "Stephanie fix" while I wait for another number series book to come out. I wasn't disappointed. If you want something deep, intriguing, slightly dark - this isn't the book for you. For fun and a few laughs, grab this and enjoy! And it's not fattening.

Book Review: Quick and Funny
Summary: 4 Stars

As always, Stephanie Plum and her family and friends make you laugh. This book is short and enjoyable. It not only poses a mystery to solve but has Stephanie in charge of helping people find love and have their best Valentine's Day ever. As anyone being a Stephanie Plum fan knows, she has enough trouble sorting out her own love life.

Book Review: I love these characters!
Summary: 4 Stars

Janet Evanovich writes great characters. I love Stephanie Plum and Lula and Ranger and Morelli. I have read all 17 books from this series now and am still longing for more....

Book Review: In a Hurry?
Summary: 3 Stars

I have read all of Evanovich's books. I love her characters. You are immediately drawn into them. It is almost like you know them. After reading just a few of her books, you think of her characters as family, friends, or neighbors. Since I already knew most of the characters in this book I thought it would be a great read. I was disappointed. While I did have my usual "laugh out loud" moments, I felt like the story was hurried and did not follow any particular story line. The events appeared disorganized. Usually reading one of her novels brings me to telling my friends about the scenes and lines. This one just fell flat-in a hurry.
