This is one of just a couple of parenting books that I keep coming back to because its advice not only resonates with my parenting instincts, but offers solutions that work for my family. Playing in the way described in this book, and other ways, helps me stay connected with my child. Being connected makes life together more joyful and easier.

I loved the book and immidiately started applying his ideas of reconnecting with my family, the results were instant and I was amazed to discover that what was meant as play therapy for my daughter became the therapy for me! What a way to lighten up and bring more laughter and creativity in your life!

The author shares how he has learned to play with children through raising a daughter and his work as a psychiatrist. It is easy to read with no psycho-babble. He demonstrates how how parenting can be creative and fun for all concerned! He gives adults permission to be silly and make mistakes!
