Book Review: My preschoolers just loved this book!
Summary: 5 Stars
As soon as this book arrived we sat down to read it. (3 and 5 year old boys) They just loved it. It is a simple story and they wanted to hear it over and over and then the older boy sat and read it himself. This book is a great "prereading" item because of the simple text and detailed pictures. The book teaches some basic counting skills with age appropriate vocabulary. There are a few pages at the end with pictures and matching word that can be cut up and used for games (matching to pages in the book, recopy the pages and play lotto or others) even just as flash cards. We got a few titles at the same time and read them all at once. This is part of a series that kids really enjoy.
Summary of Play With Max and Ruby
Max has a toy house with two chimneys, three soldiers, four bears, five airplanes, six cars, seven bugs, a lobster with eight legs, nine blocks, and ten train cars. So many toys to play with, but all Max wants is the one thing he can't have-Ruby's doll!
