I ordered this for a friend, who has dachshunds and is an artist. Before I wrapped the book, though, I looked through it. It tells a visual story of their special relationship, which is clear in the pictures. I was captivated by the sentiment of the book and looked forward to hearing her response to the book. The photos show Picasso's universal, gullible side in allowing himself to be wonderfully manipulated by a dog ! This book is one that all dog owners will love. The famous artist who did many wonderful paintings, held, hugged and loved Lump--and even fed him from the table--like many dog owners do.

As a huge Picasso AND dachshund fan.. I loved this sweet picture book, I may be a sap, but a few of the pictures and captions brought a tear to my eye! And the paintings that Picasso did with Lump in them- magnifico!
