I have a bachelor's degree in music education and a master's in piano pedagogy - this book is an insult and very misleading. I can assure you that playing the piano is NOT for dummies, nor is there a magic formula or '12 easy lessons' or any shortcuts to successful playing. It takes committment, discipline and a willingness to learn and practice. This book teaches a few chords and a little play-by-ear technique and some basic theory. If you want to play the piano, go find yourself a good and well-qualified teacher. That teacher will know what he or she is talking about much more than a book written to add to a long series of how-to's,
