Book Review: Great reference, but not really for beginners

This book is a wonderful reference manual but it really isn't for a person who is new to PSE5. A definate must for experienced PSE5 users, but if you are looking for a quick and dirty "how to" guide then maybe this book isn't the best one for you....but you will benefit from it later when you are ready to dig deeper into the features and facilities offered.Book Review: Great Manual

I was surprised when I received this manual that it was almost two inches thick and contains over 500 pages. It does a thorough job of explaining all the features of Photoshop Elements 5 in a easy to understand manner. It is highly recommended that you purchase this book or one like it to supplement the limited manual shipped with Elements 5.Book Review: very good book

This book is well worthwhile. It has a huge amount of information in it, and is organized well enough that you can easily find what you need. PS Elements is a great, but complicated program, and this helps make sense of it all.
It is not my first book on this subject, but it is the one I use the most.

I won't go over the same ground as other reviewers. Her books are among the best, always.
However, recently I have supplemented this information with the excellent video tutorials available at [...]. With over nine hours of video instruction on learning Photoshop Elements 5, it is, for my money, the best learning tool around.

This book was all I could have hoped for. It covers everything and I started learning things right away in even the first chapter and I have used Elements 3 as well as Photoshop 7. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get better and to use Elements 5 to its full potential. This is the only book you will ever need for 5.
