Book Reviews of Photoshop Elements 5: The Missing ManualBook Review: Photoshop elements the lost Manual Summary: 5 Stars
Ok, I'm not the professional photographer and having said that, I'm not the editing guru either. So, I bought photoshop elements 5.0 for my computer which runs vista, it runs great. I'm sure i have only touched on a small part of the of the software, because it's a bit overwhelming at first, this book helps take care of that feeling. I came across this book and WoW, now i get it. Good luck with the book. I go to the chapter that i need help with during my editing mess. haha... Amazon you rock!!!
Book Review: I don't think there's anything missing from this Missing Manual Summary: 5 Stars
I found this book very useful in getting up to speed in Elements quickly. I especially liked the examples of how you can use many of the tools in Elements. Most software manuals just list the tools the software offers without giving solid examples of how you can use them in the real world. This book not only shows you how to use each feature, but also how to combine features to get some other effects. Something you could learn on your own only be spending a lot of trial and error time.
Book Review: Comparing This book to Scott Kelby's...Get the Brundage book. Summary: 5 Stars
I bought two books -- one by Scott Kelby, and this book -- "Photoshop Elements 5 the Missing Manual" by Barbara Brundage.
After reading Kelby's, I opened The Missing Manual book by Brundage. I never look back. Brundage is not only a lot better, it is in a different league. This is the standard all other Photoshop learning book should copy.
Get the Missing Manual. You will never regret it.
I regreted buying the Kelby book. It is up for resale.
Book Review: This manual is a "must have" for PSE v.5 owners Summary: 5 Stars
This is one of the best all around "how to" books for photoshop elements that I have seen to date. Most manuals go into great detail about how to fix photos but leave out the many other advantages and uses of the Photoshop Elements program. This manual covers the PSE program from start to finish, including text, brushes, slideshows, printing and photo albums. For digital scrapbookers who use PSE v.5, this manual will save much time and frustration. I highly recommend it.
Book Review: Photoshop Elements 5: The Missing Manual Summary: 5 Stars
I am wrapt in this book. It was purchased after excellent reviews from various Internet sites and more than lived up to its reputation. It is easy to follow, even for those feeling their way with photgraphic manipulation. The book REALLY should have been included in the box.
The product was received rapidly and far cheaper than I could have purchased it here in Australia (Amazon please delete this if not appropriate)
