Book Reviews of Photoshop Elements 4 One-On-OneBook Review: Good book to use for teaching Photoshop to students Summary: 5 Stars
The title says it all. CD with lots of pictures to edit and lots of good projects.
Book Review: Very Helpful Summary: 4 Stars
This book has been very helpful to me in learning to use Photoshop Elements 4. The lessons are given in a systematic way and Deke walks you through each one. He provides photographs for you to work with that match the pictures in the book so it is easy to compare your products with his. He integrates directions and keyboard shortcuts in all the activities so you learn a variety of ways to access the tools you want naturally and spontaneously. I use the book all the time and learn more each time I repeat an activity. It is a great reference for when I'm trying to do something with my own photographs. The only thing I don't like is he doesn't always explain why you are doing what you are doing and I can't always intuit what it is that tool is specifically best at doing. I wish he would clarify the tools' uses more directly.
Book Review: Good program, difficult to learn Summary: 4 Stars
The product is a very good one but difficult to learn, I have spent much time in self help. The documentation is difficult to use and to follow. I had to separately purchase an instruction book. Particularly confusing is how it organizes the photo and the methods to categorize, tabing, collections, etc. After getting the hang of it, editing photos is really fun, and the results are great. Printing and emailing is rather simple. Good program, Thumbs Up.
Book Review: I really liked the book. Summary: 4 Stars
It got a little confusing when it came to the layers chapters. Not a lot of detail and I'm a person who needs my hand held.
Book Review: Photoshop Elements 4 One-On-One Summary: 4 Stars
Product was very useful for those who need more than the on-line help screens.
