Book Reviews of Peek-A Who?Book Review: The best first book Summary: 5 Stars
My daughter has enjoyed this book since she was 2 months old. She would sit through Peek-a Who? three times in a row when she wouldn't sit through anything else. She would smile at the illustrations, especially the owl and the cow. No, it isn't great literature. The brilliance of Peek-a Who? is that it can capture the attention of extremely young babies.
As a toddler's book? Eh, I'm not impressed. But as a first book for the very young, Peek-a Who? gets 5 stars.
Book Review: My son LOVES this book!!! Summary: 5 Stars
This book is short. Peek-A- Moo/Boo/Zoo/Choo-Choo/You (with a mirror on the last page). I have it memorized. Very short which can be burdonsome for parents having to read it over and over... But it's very colorful and fun! There's a hole on every right-hand page to 'peek' at what's to come. My sons favorite is the 'choo-choo' page. We have had this book for a year this Christmas and it's still a favorite!! I definitely recommend this to parents. Your child will love it!!
Book Review: Loves it! Summary: 5 Stars
I got this adorable book for my toddler granddaughter. She absolutely loves it! She's learning to talk and after just a couple times through the book she knew exactly which "who" was coming up on the next page. She has had a lot of fun with the book. She really loves to see herself at the end of the book in the mirror. I'm so glad I got this for her and glad that she is getting so much enjoyment out of it. It's a real treasure for little ones. I highly recommend it!
Book Review: Eek-a! Summary: 5 Stars
My 13 month old loves this book. It actually inspired her fifth word! We were reading the book and as I was about to say "Peek-A... Moo", I heard this tiny "eek-a" from my daughter. I turned the page for Peek-a-Boo, and before I could say anything, she did it again - "eek-a". It's repetitious so I think it taught her to say the word. Now she loves to say "eek-a" before I turn the page. I don't know that you can find "eek-a" in a Webster's, but I'll take it!
Book Review: The best first book for infants, bar none Summary: 5 Stars
High praise, I know, but Peek-a-Who had both of my daughters completely enraptured by the age of 4 months. The simple, bright words and the bold, contrasting pictures really speak to babies. It's a joy to hold an infant on your lap and watch her face light up to "Peek-a...peek-a...peek-a MOO!" We're getting a second copy because our 22-month old loved (and chewed) this favorite to bits when she was a baby. Now she "reads" the whole book perfectly to her baby sister!
