Book Reviews of Passport to World Band Radio

Book Review: Essential Tool for Shortwave Radio Listeners
Summary: 5 Stars

I have used Passport for almost twenty years now. Before the internet it was the best way (and only practical way) to keep track of schedules and frequencies and still is since my PC can't be everywhere my radio is. It also is a great resource if you are shopping for a shortwave radio as all major sets in all quality and price ranges are reviewed. There is also alot of general information for shortwave listening and information on future trends. No world band listener should be without the most current version of this book.

Book Review: Passport to World Band Radio
Summary: 5 Stars

Being new to shortwave, I was excited to learn from various radio web sites about this book. After ordering and receiving it, I found out a whole lot about shortwave. The current radios on the market are written up and critiqued and evaluated by professionals. The many world band stations are listed with their broadcasting times. All of the information is very useful to me and has accelerated my interest in shortwave listening. This book is the road map for shortwave.

Book Review: Passport to infinite knowledge.... 2008...
Summary: 5 Stars

Like every year Passport To World Band Radio delivers beyond what one can expect in ANY reference type literature.

And at the Amazon price I bought it for...
Even better, considering these can retail for twenty five or more depending on what source you buy it from.
Anyone who wants broadcast shortwave information quickly
yet accurately should NOT miss this copy or any other year for that matter.
Happy Shopping

Book Review: A must for shortwave listening!
Summary: 5 Stars

After returning to the SWL (shortwave listening) hobby after several years hiatus, I'm so pleased to see that the Passport to World Band radio is still around. I based my current receiver purchase on the detailed reviews (just as I did back in 1992). The What's On Tonight serves as a good starting point for listening, and the comprehensive "blue pages" allows you to identify a station when you're just going through the bands.

Book Review: Excellent SW radio listening guide
Summary: 5 Stars

This is an extremely fine SW (Shortwave) radio listening guide. I am very glad we bought it. I am also extremely happy with all the great information provided. It has so much information however that it may take all year for me to get through it all before the next official issue is produced. Monthly updates are also available for free on the world wide web (which are also very informative).
