Bruce Lipton, Ph.D., a prominent cellular biologist and author, was formerly an Associate Professor of Anatomy at the University of Wisconsin's School of Medicine (1973-1982), where he taught medical students and researched muscular dystrophy. As a Fellow in Pathology at Stanford University?s School of Medicine (1987-1992), his published research on cloned human cells revealed how perception controls behavior and gene activity. Lipton?s current research on the biochemical pathways connecting the mind and body provide insight into the molecular basis of consciousness.

Dr. Lipton was excited about the idea of presenting his scientific findings in an easy to read and easy to comprehend format for the general public and was so delighted with the project that he wrote a foreword endorsing the book. In the middle of creating Passage of Change, a fable that illustrates the recent discovery that our beliefs affect our cellular biology -- for good or for ill -- Nancy Marie suddenly found out she had breast cancer.
